The goodbye pillow

This is the reason why my living room still has one courtain missing, the ironing got to a standstill (unless MFJ takes action) and my eyes feel very tired...I've been busy with the goodbye pillow.
Read more I love hands and handprints...so during the goodbye party for the Tomatsu family (10 adults and 10 kids in our new little lovenest) I asked everyone for their handprint. MFSJ helped to cut out all the paper shapes, which we then reproduced on coloured felt (Thank you Nancy!). After trying to glue all the hands on the green felt pillow, which didn't work, I decided to hand-stitch them ALL.
I have to admit I'm quite pleased with the result, which is inspiring even more handprint ideas!
And now I can finally finish the velcro-courtains!


...e questo qui sopra e' il motivo per cui ad una delle finestre del soggiorno manca ancora la tenda, per cui i panni da stirare somigliano sempre piu' alle catene dell' Himalaya e per cui i miei occhi sono molto molto stanchi...il goodbye pillow.
Leggi tutto Le impronte delle mani sono la mia nuova passione, cosi' durante la festa di addio per la famigliola TOmatsu (10 adulti e 10 bimbi nel nostro nuovo lovenest) ho chiesto a tutti di poter copiare la forma della loro mano. La MSGP ha poi aiutato a ritagliare tutte le manine dalla carta, e il tutto e' stato riprodotto su feltro colorato (grazie Nancy, che ha passato un ora buona a Pasqua proprio a ritagliare manine). Dopo aver tentato di incollare tutte le mani al cuscino di feltro, con risultati orrendi, mi son ridotta a cucire tutte le mani...a mano!
Il risultato mi piace proprio, e mi e' servito da ispirazione per altre creazioni "a base di impronte"!
E adesso posso finalmente concentrarmi sulle tendine velcrate!
